Listed for sale on eBay in Largo, FL is this 1999 C43 AMG showing 94k miles. The car presents very well and is a one-owner with no accidents. While there are typically a few w202 C43s to be found on the market at any given time, sadly we find them in battered and bruised, most often with very high mileage. Mileage of course is only a number. The true value in a car can be seen by the maintenance and care it's received in it's life. Not to say that mileage isn't a huge factor still.
It's clear that this C43 AMG has been owned by an enthusiast who cares. From the start, we can see that all body panels line up perfectly and match perfectly. The Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) paint still maintains it's shine with no evidence of clear coat failure, often seen on Benzes of this vintage. The wheels also appear free from curb rash which is no easy feat as the majority of these monoblock wheels have seen their fair share of concrete. The only missing piece is a lower grill insert along the front bumper.
On the inside, the first thing we notice is the steering wheel. The two-tone with Light Gray Leather (588) interior tends wear badly, especially the steering wheel and driver's seat. Miraculously, the steering wheel appears to be as perfect as it could be. Some minor wear can be seen on the seats in the front and rear. The woodgrain appears to be free from cracks and fading.
The M113 V8 engine was rated at 302 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque which was capable of hauling this baby Benz to 60mph in a mere 6 seconds. The seller states the car needs nothing and "drives like new." Underbody photos have been provided by the seller in the listing and are available to be viewed in the gallery. All electronics function as well and recently the following items have been replaced or serviced:
- New Radiator and Coolant Flush
- New Engine and Transmission Mounts
- Oil and Filter Change
- 4 Brand New Tires (appears to be Khumo Ecsta)
Thanks to @bgmangup on Instagram for sending us his friend's listing. We feel certain this C43 AMG will bring a strong number. The seller is asking $16,995 with the option to make an offer. These w202 AMGs are becoming harder to find and clean examples have begun to appreciate over the last few years. This certainly is not your average C43 and as a 1-owner in such well-kept condition, this should make an excellent driver and investment for it's next owner.
