The values of early 2000's AMG's have began to appreciate as they've now reached the age to be cool again after depreciation has leveled off. Everyday we see a new w210 AMG become available with higher mileage and a higher price than the one before. We've seen the same for the w163, w215, and w211 chassis already. One that seems to be flying under the radar is the w203. Known as the baby Benz, the C-class is the smallest sedan offering from Mercedes. The C32 AMG is a car that has been highly underrated for years and lower mileage examples are few and far between today.
This 2002 C32 AMG is finished in Black (040) over Anthracite Leather interior and shows only 39k miles. Unfortunately there's not a lot of details that can be picked up on from the lack luster photos, however, the seller states more pictures will be provided upon request by serious buyers. The C32's came equipped with an AMG body kit, exhaust, and 17" twin-spoke wheels for a slightly more aggressive look. These looks were backed up with a supercharged 3.2L AMG engine producing 349 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque when new. This was enough to launch the car to 60mph in a mere 5 seconds.
The seller states recent service includes new brakes (pads? rotors? calipers? no idea) and a "full service" (again, no idea). New tires were reportedly installed this past summer and have less than 1000 miles on them. A new battery was installed this past Spring as well. Per the AutoCheck report provided, the car is accident free and is listed as a 3 owner vehicle.
We expect the w203 AMG's to soon appreciate in value. The only comparable we found to this is a 2002 C32 AMG listed with Private Collection Motors having similar mileage of 38k miles and an asking price of $17,995. This black C32 AMG is located in Salt Lake City, Utah for a reasonable ask of $11,900 with the option to make an offer. With proper photos, this car would likely fly off the shelf but currently, it's still up for grabs.
