Just as the title states, this one is as straight forward as they come. What do you get when you combine the top of the line S-Class of its time, with practically new car miles, one owner, a clean Carfax, and a clean title? A big money price tag.
Found on Craigslist in Columbia, Missouri, this 1991 Mercedes 560SEC asking $59,000 is finished in classic Black (040) over Grey Leather (268) and appears to be an impeccably kept original example, with the exception of a nicely optioned set of Lorinser RS90 wheels (we'd bet the original wheels are still present as well). There's also a Lorinser spoiler which isn't our favorite look on the 126, but it is rare and can be removed by the next owner if desired.
These still command the road in a wonderful way today, and we would love to have this one in our own stable. So if you have yet to experience a C126, and simply did not have the budget for it in 1991 (understandably so with an MSRP of over $80,000 USD), this is perhaps your best chance at experiencing what your favorite celebrities and professional athletes did some 30 years ago.
The listing photos and description leave much to be desired, so if you are interested in additional info on what might be a museum quality W126 to add to your collection, contact the seller through the listing. The front does appear to be sitting a tad high, or alternatively the rear SLS may be sagging. We have absolutely no idea why there's a keyboard sitting on the passenger seat.
