We love imported cars since it usually means it's something we were never able to enjoy Stateside. As is the case with today's Craigslist find in McKinney, Texas for a 1992 Mercedes 250TD (W124) offered at an even $10,000, with a nicely optioned 5-speed Manual transmission from factory.
The seller has not provided much in terms of information or detailed photos, however this W124 appears to have been finished in a wonderful Midnight Blue (904) over European-spec Blue Fabric (372). This iconic checkered cloth interior should be enough of a reason for this car to be seriously considered, the manual gearbox is just an added bonus!
According to the seller, the 2.5L Inline-5 OM602 has completed just over 160,000 Miles, and is said to run very well. Imported from Europe with all necessary import documentation, service records and recent maintenance including a new clutch, new brakes, new tires and an overhaul of the suspension are all great starting points to do some digging and finding out if this car is everything it appears to be in the photos.
