Do we even need to preface W208 postings anymore? We love these cars for the design, the feel, the platform, and the value. We also love these CLK”s for the potential upswing in value still headed their way. From the base models to the AMG’s, these CLK’s are fantastic drivers. This 2002 CLK430 must be one of the better finds on the market right now with only 26k miles on the clock. The listing can be found here on Craigslist in South Florida with a high but fair asking price of $19,900.
Finished in the beautiful and rare Designo Espresso Edition, this CLK430 is as much a looker as a driver. This special Designo edition consisted of Light-Brown Nappa leather trimmed throughout the interior, a light-brown/charcoal steering wheel, custom colored floor mats with Nappa leather piping, curled maple wood interior trim, and rich Mocha Black (033) paint - a color that was not available on any other CLK.
Looks aside this CLK saw its fair share of options from the factory as well. Heated Seats, Xenon headlamps, and COMMAND all are present and fully functioning on this model. Even the Designo gear selector retains its factory appearance. At 26k miles, we can’t exactly say we’re surprised but it doesn’t appear too many of those miles were in direct sunlight and if they were, the leathers been kept exceptionally well. The only sign of sun we can find is the (very common) loss of display pixels on the gauge cluster. Notice the clock is gone along with the temperature and gear selection.
The 19k asking price may be steep compared to other CLK430’s on the market but we’re sure this is worth every bit. From the right colors to the right options, and the better platform this CLK will most likely be joining the ranks of modern collectible Mercedes in years to come.
