On today's market, the W209 still poses a great value for those looking to get into a sporty luxury coupe without breaking the bank. This 2007 CLK550 is located in Silver Spring, MD with 137k miles from one of our readers, Brenn (@brenn_j on IG). The 2007 models benefit from the facelift improvements of the W209 chassis and with the AMG Sport Package, the look nearly identical to that of the CLK55 AMG. The car is accident free and has seen two owners in it's life. Maintenance records from the dealership accompany the car and the seller has owned the car since May of 2019.
Under the hood, a 5.5L V8 produces 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. This engine was a first for the W209 chassic beginning in 2007. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission with touch-shift. Recent maintenance includes the replacement of the front upper and lower control arms. The seller states that regular oil changes every 5k miles using Mobil-1 are always performed, and a fresh oil change will be completed to the car prior to delivery for the buyer.
The car is finished in Iridium Silver (775) over Anthracite Leather. The paint presents very well and the seller confirms no rust is present on the car at all. The AMG sport package adds sportier front and rear bumpers along with side skirts which mimics the CLK55 AMG's in appearance. The car is equipped with bi-xenon headlights in addition to heated front seats, COMAND, multi-contour seats, and a Harman Kardon Logic 7 sound system. The burl wood shows no signs of fading and the leather remains free from tears or creasing.
The current asking price is set at $13,500 and offers are welcome. While the car isn't an AMG spec, it does produce more power than it's predecessor W208 CLK55 AMG and has the AMG looks to pair. With solid maintenance history, we wouldn't be afraid of the mileage, especially when seeing the condition of the car. For 2007, just over 15,000 CLK coupes were sold in the U.S. market although they seem less common on the road.
