Listed today in Sherman Oaks, CA, this 1995 C36 AMG has 149k miles and appears to be well-kept for its age and mileage. The C36 AMG was the first car mass produced between Mercedes-Benz and AMG. We've had the pleasure of spending a lot of seat time in a similar spec C36 and know first hand how great these cars truly are. They're still highly underrated in today's market, however, that's certainly been changing over the last year or more as other AMG models from the era continue to appreciate.
This C36 is Black (040) over Black Leather (201) and the paint appears to have undergone a full correction at some point relatively recently. There are some scrapes on the front bumper near the driver side wheel. The wheels appear to be the original 17" staggered monoblocks in chrome. The full size spare still accompanies the car and is located in the trunk.
Considering the car has 149k miles, the interior has held up remarkably well and the leather appears to have no tears. The woodgrain also shows nicely although close up pictures could confirm if any cracks are visible. While we do see AMG floormats in the car, they do not appear to be the original C36 mats.
The original window sticker is said to accompany the car and the seller has a clean title in hand. The 3.6L engine pumped out 276 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque when new, sprinting the w202 from 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. The AMG body kit, wheels, and lowered suspension greatly improved the appearance of the w202. The seller is asking $6,500 for the car which we think is a great deal for what should be an excellent driver in above-average shape. As these cars become more rare, we don't see values getting any lower.
