The Real McCoy: 2012 E63 AMG Wagon

In term of value, there's something about wagons that seem to always command a premium over their sedan brethren. Perhaps it's because the wagons are made in fewer quantity, or maybe it's just the satisfaction of knowing you can embarrass Corvette drivers with your station wagon. Either way, these are rare and desirable machines. This 2012 E63 AMG Wagon is certainly on a level of it's own with a healthy list of maintenance completed and a clean Carfax. The car is listed with our friends, SoCal Tires Car Customization Studio, in San Diego, CA with an asking price of $43,500.

This E63 Wagon currently sits with 90,400 miles. We must admit, it's nice to see such a clean example that's also been enjoyed by it's owner who isn't afraid to put some miles on it. Still, cars were meant to be driven as the saying goes and 90k is nothing to be concerned about, especially with the stack of records and preventative maintenance receipts that accompanies this car.

The car is finished in Designo Graphite (041) over Grey Nappa Leather (808), both of which have undergone an extensive detail. In addition to a full paint correction, the exterior has been coated with a 2 year ceramic coating which provides both protection and shine. The interior has been shampooed and comes equipped with WeatherTech front floor mats and rear cargo liner for added protection. Based on the quality photos provided by the seller, you'd never know the car had 90k miles. Condition appears to be excellent all around.

According to our seller, the work mentioned below has all been performed within the last 6k miles:

- coolant expansion tank

- camshaft position sensors

- heater hoses

- differential fluid service

- transmission service

- multiple oil services with ceratec treatments

- brake fluid & reservoir

- engine air filters

- sway bar end links

- oil centrifuge

- secondary timing chain tensioners & check valves

- resealed front engine covers

- spark plugs

- engine mounts

As many enthusiast owned cars tend to be, this E63 Wagon does have some slight modifications done in tasteful order. An ECU dyno tune now has this M157 bi-turbo V8 rated at 605 hp & 650 lb-ft of torque. The 0-60 mph time for a stock set up is only 3.8 seconds so we imagine this only improves upon perfection. A list of modifications includes:

- H&R front lowering springs

- Lowering links rear

- Redstar downpipes & midpipe

- Resonator delete

- Carbon fiber mirror covers

- Carbon fiber front lip

- Speed yellow brake calipers

- Gloss black wrapped the chrome window trim

- Front & rear hubcentric wheel spacers

- East Coast Euro polyurethane engine mounts for longevity

- Eurocharged TCU tune

- Autowave ECU dyno tune (605hp & 650tq)

- Ceramic window tint including windshield

The seller states this E63 Wagon runs and drives flawlessly with no warning lights of any kind and all maintenance up to date. We expect the new owner will be more than pleased with the condition and ownership of this AMG family hauler. You certainly won't be passing another AMG wagon at every other traffic light and knowing you have the power of Thor's hammer available at the touch of the throttle doesn't hurt.
